Manage Chronic Pain Workshop
Free 6 Week Workshop: July 10, 17, 24 (no class 7.31), August 7, 14, 21
10:00am-12:30pm | Adults 55+ | Plan to attend this six-week workshop if you have to manage a chronic condition, or care for someone who does. Tools and techniques will be explored for better management of chronic health conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure; ways to communicate effectively with health care professionals and family members; health care savings; and ways to enjoy an enhanced quality of life. John Jay Homestead

Thematic Tour: The Death of Alexander Hamilton
Tours at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, and 4pm. Regular admission fees apply

1:00 pm–5:00 pm | Adults. Family | Alexander Hamilton, John Jay’s fellow New Yorker and close ally in the Federalist cause, famously died on July 12, 1804, following a duel the previous day with Aaron Burr. Duels were fought over political differences and personal ones between the elite classes in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century America and Europe. Take a docent-led tour of John Jay’s Bedford House highlighting Jay’s connection to this deadly cultural practice and his relationship with Hamilton.

The purveyors of John Jay Homestead Farm Market are local farmers, bakers & craftsmen who seasonally provide a variety of fruit, produce, meats, fish, dairy products, baked goods, prepared foods and handcrafted products.
