Download Forms and Applications

The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) is a five-member board. Each member is a resident of Bedford and is appointed to a 5-year term. The Zoning Board of Appeals meets typically on the first Wednesday of every month, or as set by the Board.

The Zoning Board of Appeals is a quasi-judicial board that allows residents to appeal negative decisions made by the Planning Board, Building Inspector or Town Board, depending on the issue. The ZBA also grants Special Use Permits for uses such as private clubs, private schools and churches and may issue variances granting relief from various Town codes. Applications are accepted from 8:30-4 daily.  Once an application has been received by the Zoning Board of Appeals, a public hearing is scheduled.

Applications and information regarding appeals or variances can be picked up and submitted at the Building Inspector’s Office.
