Town Board Members


The Town of Bedford is governed by the Town Board made up of 5 elected members who are residents of the Town. The Town Supervisor presides over the meetings of the Town Board and is an equal voting member with the other members of the Board.  The Supervisor also manages the budget and oversees all the departments of the town. The Supervisor appoints a Deputy Supervisor to assume her responsibilities in the case she is unavailable to perform her duties. If the deputy is not also an elected official, then the deputy does not have a vote at meetings.

Town Judges

The Town of Bedford has two Town Judges, each elected to a four-year term, holding sessions of Criminal Court, Civil Court, and Traffic Court.
