Summer Camp

The Town of Bedford offers summer opportunities starting at three years old.  Our camps are a traditional program where fun and games are at the core of each day.  Each week is themed and different to add a special something to the day.  Special events and entertainment are also added to make the summer special.

Summer Fun for All Ages

Tiny Tots Camp

This camp is held at one location and is open to children ages 3 - 5. Tiny Tots offers a half a day of fun structured play opportunities.  Activities include arts and crafts, manipulative play, pretend play, music, physical movement, and more.  This program offers children the first taste of camp.

School-Aged Day Camp

Our traditional day camp program is open to Pre-K* - 6th graders held at each of our hamlet parks.  Campers enjoy a full day of outdoor fun, including but not limited to swimming lessons, art, athletics, free swimming, group games,  special theme days, and more.  Campers gain independence, try new activities, make new friends, create lasting memories and of course have fun!

* There is a limited number of PreK campers at each location. There is a lottery drawing for entry into the full-day camp for PreK.

Teen Get-A- Way

Teen Get-A-Way is a five-week day travel camp for students completing 6 - 8 grades.  The camp offers a different adventure each day as we visit different places around our local area.  Past trips have included The Caves, Bounce, Dave and Busters, baseball games, Broadway shows, Lake Compounce, fishing trips, Six Flags New England, and more.

Counselor In Training (CIT'S)

The Counselor in Training program is for 9th and 10th graders who are not yet 16 years old.  CITs work alongside camp counselors at the day camp or tiny tots camps and learn the camp program through hands-on experience.  CITs are not paid and can take up to 5 days off for vacations or other camp programs.

Additional Camp Employment Opportunities

Paid employment opportunities are available for counselors, specialists, and camp managers, starting at the age of 16. The commitment for these opportunities is for the duration of the six-week camp season.
