Equipment is repaired in the following order: main facilities that bring electricity to your neighborhood, the local delivery system including: poles, power lines along streets and roads; priority given to critical facilities such as: hospitals, nursing homes, fire and power stations; with focus on consumers with electrically operated, life-sustaining equipment.
Westchester County Special Needs Registry
Residents who would need special assistance if they had to leave their homes in an emergency should sign up for Westchester County’s Special Needs Registry. Register by calling 211, going online or by obtaining an application from the Office of Emergency Management at 914-864-5450. People are also able to register a family member or friend in need.
