Mahjong with Instruction
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm | Adult | The library does not have a set of tiles, so if you have a set, please bring it. For those who would like to have a review and instruction: we will be offering three sessions with an instructor starting at 1pm on July 26, August 2, and August 9. This will take place in the Garden Room with easy access through the Children’s Room entrance. The instructor has enough sets, so the only thing that you have to bring is your 2019 Mahjong Card. If you still need one please see for ordering online or alternate means.











Take it Or Leave It Shed
10:00 AM – 1:00 PM | All volunteer. Re-purposed home goods, children’s toys, sporting equipment, and other items to take or leave for others.

1:00 PM | All Ages Welcome | Join Toni Russo for Chair Yoga, one of the gentlest forms of yoga available. This approach uses the support and safety of a chair to adapt yoga positions. Revolutionary War & Burning of Bedford Re-enactment
on Bedford’s Village Green
11:00am-3:30pm | FREE – Family Fun Day | Step back in time as the Revolutionary War comes to life in Bedford. Enjoy cavalry demonstrations; an encampment; musket drills and colonial games and dances; blacksmithing demonstrations; lessons with the School Marm; and a grand finale Burning of Bedford re-enactment on the Green. Thematic Tours

This tour is offered at 2pm, Wednesday – Saturday (Thursday – Saturday beginning October 15th)

We are excited to announce that beginning August 1st our 2pm tour will always be a thematic tour. On Wednesday through Saturday (Thursday through Saturday beginning October 15th) we will be exploring historical topics relevant to John Jay, his family, and Jay’s relationships with other Founders. On Sundays through October 15th the thematic tour will be an in-depth look at objects from our collections. Standard house tours will be available at 1pm, 3pm, and 4pm (through October 15th). KBHVAC regularly hosts continuing medical education classes for EMS providers. We offer public First Aid and CPR classes by request, and we are often available to provide stand-by services at community sporting events and gatherings. Please contact us to learn more
