STORIES WITHOUT BORDERS: CAROL BIRCH, BRADBURY UNBOUND!
4:00pm -5:00pm | Ray Bradbury’s Dandelion Wine, a semiautobiographical novel, distills the joys of summer. Carol Birch’s performance, Bradbury Out Loud!, amplifies how adroitly his stories celebrate the old as well as the young, foolishness along with wisdom heralded by bangs and rattles from Grandma’s Kitchen or Leo Auffmann’s Happiness Machine. “Like a very dry martini, Carol Birch’s telling is smooth, intoxicating and little dangerous.”

Award-winning recording artist and author Carol Birch was recognized by the National Storytelling Network’s Circle of Excellence Award for setting standards of excellence in Storytelling. Birch has traveled extensively to national and international festivals, with appearances on ABC’s Nightline; CBS This Morning; and National Public Radio
