Pearl Harbor Day

Let us remember December 7, 1941, the date of the sudden, deliberate and unprovoked attack by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan on American forces at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. One day later in an address before a Joint Session of Congress, President Franklin D. Roosevelt described that day as “a date which will live in infamy”. Congress declared war against Japan within an hour of President Roosevelt’s address thus bringing the United States of America into World War II to save the world from tyranny and dictatorship.

And a solemn and heartfelt thanks to those who fought for our liberties, thousands of whom gave their lives.
